New Heights Imports

Word of mouth is a powerful thing. One thing leads to another that can open a door of possibilities for any party involved. And from there, it can snowball into something impactful enough to change a life, business, or mindset. That’s how I got this project, through a childhood friend who I was catching up with over the summer of 2020. Word of mouth is how I got my first client and how this snowballed into what weQSites is today.

I grew up with Jimmy on the same street, going to Middle School and High School together. He introduced me to his coworker Jorge Moreira, who was starting his own side business. Jorge needed a website to showcase the wine he was bringing over from Portugal and where consumers could buy the wine in NJ and NY.

He partnered with various wineries in different rich, wine-making regions of Portugal as a distributor to bring them to the US. Jorge wanted to display all the wineries’ logos for everyone to see. Upon clicking each logo, each type of wine from that brand that Jorge will be distributing would be displayed with an option to learn some interesting facts and tips about that wine. Since he is not selling the wine himself, another page was created to simply display a list of the vendors that carried these wines and how to contact them.

Jorge is constantly traveling back and forth to Portugal to grow his business and continue adding wineries to his arsenal. As his business grows, so will the website; with the need to edit and add more information on the new wineries and vendors becoming part of the New Heights Imports family.

He continually comes up with new, innovative ideas to make my business look professional and modern.
